GRAVITY
GRAVITY
Synopsis
Gravity narrates a typical day of an ordinary person. A type X, in fact. We are in a dystopian world, but very similar to our own: populated by dancers, toothbrushes and toothpaste, cigarettes, watches and, even, cats! The one big difference, however, is that here gravity works in reverse. Basically, objects that are free to move do not fall to the ground, but splash up into the sky – and, apparently, neither the protagonist nor anyone else cares where they end up. In this upside-down world, where people’s hair tends to the sky, backpacks open backwards, and in order to pour a drink, one must hold the glass over the pitcher, the protagonist finds herself going a long way. With a disinterested gaze, she continues against all odds, determined to reach her coveted destination: a hill on which to stop and enjoy a romantic picnic with her beloved. In such a world, where all it takes is to let an object disappear into the sky, waste seems to be the least of the problems. At least until Gravity decides to change direction again….

Director's Bio
Robotina is an animation studio created in 2019 by Sara Taigher and Yassmin Yaghmai. The two designers met in 2015 and since then, they have been collaborating on numerous animation projects. Their Robotina studio was born exclusively out of the desire to experiment with techniques and visual styles different from the usual. When the opportunity to collaborate with the US label Italians Do It Better creating the neon-lit music video "Farah - The Only Ones" arose at the end of 2018 they realized it was time to establish their project, create a website, and share a space together. Since then, Robotina has directed and produced numerous commercials, music videos and anime-style animated inserts, such as in the Amazon series "Bang Bang Baby." In 2023, Robotina directed its first 3D animated short film, "Gravity," a co-production between Italy and Mexico.
